I finished the 2nd of my 2 bottles purchased from Garagiste over the Labor Day weekend. I drank the first bottle last November and wrote down in my notes that the wine struggled as it warmed up, with an alcohol burn that tended to distract from the fruit. I also noted that the wine tasted better on Day 3 than Day 1. Now, the wine has really settled down and was a delightful drink over a period of 3 days--and it got better each day. What I particularly enjoyed was the purity of fruit; no excessive oak or thick, overextracted Priorat fruit here. The Syrah and Carignan components give this wine great color and structure, with the Grenache adding just the right amount of sweetness. A great wine when considering the $24 price tag, and it shames the overpriced Spanish Prioratos in my cellar.

Jon: any chance we will see an offering from this producer again?
